I know that Hollywood has always been a place of controversy, it’s how you sell tickets, and I get it. But in recent years the controversy has fallen on the lack of diversity and female presence on screen and behind. I mean we are more than half of the population, so this is definitely a weird concept that we wouldn’t be represented accurately. Film and TV are the windows to society and our future culture (this blog may get inspirational, you are warned). According to Variety.com in 2015, out of the 700 highest grossing films of all time, women had directed 13% and 7% of that, was in the top 250. As a member of the female human race (Card bearing member since 1979) I found this is definitely depressing, one-sided and down right infuriating.

You know when you are young, all you needed in life, to feel happy, was a ball. Even a dog or a cat, you give them a ball of something, they are elated. I think this is one of the appeals of the avocado, other than the taste and texture, obviously. This sphere shaped fruit is quite versatile. Now you are probably already wondering, is this blog going to be a history lecture on this fruit? Or is this a recipe blog? This is going to be what I find interesting about this oval fruit and it’s uses (which is amazing in itself)...... It’s Oscar night. I’m home eating homemade tacos and watching reruns of Chuck on Netflix. I’m a plus size actress with the case of the downers cause Leo is making a moving speech about climate change and being the change you want to see in this world, and I’m home eating a sugar free pudding cup.
